A didactic program focused on a wide variety of peripheral nerve disorders and the best options to improve diagnosis, return function, and reduce peripheral nerve pain.
OVERVIEW
This course will offer a multidisciplinary approach to understand different types of peripheral nerve disorders due to either injury or entrapment, focusing on both common and complex cases. There will be an emphasis on the best diagnostic methods and techniques to improve impaired function and reduce neuropathic pain. The course will enlist diverse specialists to enrich our understanding of optimum management and results.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
To offer a multidisciplinary approach to different types of peripheral nerve disorders due to nerve injury, entrap-ment syndromes and neuropathic cases. Various diagnostic methods, management options, and medical and surgi-cal treatments will be discussed, focusing on the injured nerve and approaches to neuropathic pain. The course will encourage debate around common and complex cases with a practical methodology where neurologist, hand sur-geons and pain management doctors will describe their solutions in a multidisciplinary format.
